Dance management is a specialist field. I go above and beyond the baseline tasks to work at the meeting point between strategic and operational, where the money and the art meet. The basic processes can be done by any manager but my network, experience and knowledge of dance and dancers means that I can do those tasks efficiently and effectively in the context of dance delivery to meet the strategic and artistic aims of the companies I work with. I am the kind of person who enjoys working strategically to develop achievable plans which ultimately enables the art to happen and enables people to be part of it as audiences, participants, supporters or observers. I am also happy to make sure the practical aspects happen, by me if necessary. Vitality and imagination are crucial to how I work - if it can be imagined, it is possible.
