At it's simplest, my role
as production manager is to get the performance or event from idea
to reality and this role breaks down into three key areas:
- Operational
Beginning with identifying and recruiting creative team members,
I offer a thorough and efficient operational service for theatre,
dance and event production. From start to finish, I can support
clients with the intangible side of production including contracting
suppliers, planning the rehearsal & technical schedules, liaising
with venues, internal commuinications and management of the production
budget.
- Technical
As production manager, I also deliver the tangible, technical
side of production from ensuring that set, props and costumes are
delivered according to brief and schedule, co-ordinating technical
aspects of the production work together effectively to meet the
creative brief and logistical requirements.
- Relationships
A core success factor for productions is the communications
between the team and beyond with stakeholders. Alongside the practical
elements of production management, I offer support in liaising with
front of house, sponsors, funders and supporters to ensure that
the whole production and audience experience works well.
This package works on a production by production basis with both
direct and virtual administration to deliver a successful performance
or event. |
